“4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”Hosea 4:6 (KJV)
You are a PRODUCT of what you know and a VICTIM of your ignorance.
The Holy Scriptures, known as the Bible, are the inspired Word of God and our all sufficient rule for faith and practice.
We believe in the unity of the true and living God who is the eternal, self existent one, who has revealed himself as one being in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the creator and preserver of all things visible and invisible.
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the second person of the triune Godhead, who was and is the eternal Son of God. He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary. We believe in His sinless life, miraculous ministry, substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, glorious ascension and abiding intercession.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the triune Godhead, who proceeds from the Father and the Son and is ever present and active in the work of convicting and regenerating the sinner and sanctifying and guiding the believer into all truth.
We believe all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God and is infallible, in errantly revealing the will of God concerning our lives in all things necessary to our salvation. It is absolutely supreme and sufficient in authority in all matters of faith and conduct. The Bible is the complete revelation and very word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, so that whatever is not contained within it, should not be commanded as an article of faith.
We believe in the person of the devil, who by his influence, brought about the downfall of man, and now seeks to destroy the faith of every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that man was created by God in His image and likeness, morally upright and perfect, but fell by voluntary transgression. Consequently, all men are separated from original righteousness, being depraved and without spiritual life.
We believe that Jesus' death on the cross is God's answer to man's sinful state and condition. Through his sufferings and shed blood, He made full atonement for the sins of the whole world, both original and actual, and there is no other basis for salvation.
We believe salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This experience, also known as the new birth, is instantaneous and complete through the work of the Holy Spirit. The believing sinner is regenerated, justified and adopted into the family of God and becomes a new creation in Christ Jesus and heir of eternal life. From then on, s/he is no longer referred to as a sinner but a Saint and the Righteousness of God.
The Church is the Body of Christ, in which God dwells through the Holy Spirit. God divinely appoints people to fulfil the great commission to make disciples of all nations. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the community of believers, with their names being written in heaven.
We believe that Baptism by single immersion, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, is commanded for all who have repented and believed in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. It is symbolic of our identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.
We believe the Holy Communion comprising unleavened bread and grape juice, is the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a memorial of his sufferings and death and a prophecy of His second coming. All believers are commanded to share in this communion as often as possible 'until He comes'.
Sanctification is that act through which a Christian shares in the holiness of God and is separated from all that is evil. This involves a daily process of dying to self and dying in the life and fullness of Jesus Christ. Through grace, God wills every believer in Christ to be made pure in heart and wholly sanctified through the work of the Holy Spirit, the blood of Jesus and the Word of God.
Through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, we believe that the believer is given the power to be an effective witness for Christ. This experience is distinct from, and subsequent to, the new birth. It is received by faith, and is accompanied by the manifestation of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, as the initial evidence.
We believe that the Holy Spirit gifts believers with a gift(s) for the building up of the Body and ministry service. Among those gifts the Holy Spirit releases are the nine supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit recorded in 1 Corinthians 12 and the ministry gifts of Christ, recorded in Ephesians 4.11-13.
According to the teachings of the Word of God, we know that we were healed by the Stripes of
Christ from all sickness, disease and infirmity. We believe that divine healing for the body was
provided for us by the atoning death and victorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is
the privilege of all believers and it is appropriated by faith in the atoning death and victorious
resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
We believe in the premillennial, imminent and personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ to gather all believers unto Himself.
We believe in the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to set up His millennial reign on this earth.
We believe in the everlasting punishment of the wicked, who wilfully reject and despise the death and resurrection of Jesus for their salvation. We believe that the devil and all his angels and whoever does not confess Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour will be sent to eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire.
